I spent a few days up in the Deception pass area and went crabbing on the 5th and the 9th. I took my parents out on the boat on the 5th and we dropped pots in the southwest area of Similk bay. I must have counted 30 pots out there due to the fourth of July weekend. We had a grea time and boated 11 Dungies, and 9 Red rock crab before my parents decided they wanted to call it a day. We fished from 10AM to 3 in the afternoon. It was a beautiful day on the water. I went back out on the 9th by myself before heading home. I only counted 4 other pots in the area was was crabbing. I was done in the first haul of my gear with really nice big crab.I ended up getting 5 dungies, and two red rock, one of the red rocks went 6 1/2. Had to be one of the largest I've ever seen. The smallest crab I had yesterday in my limit was right at about 7 across. largest was right about 8!
