after getting a late start due to traffic caused by a marathon and a road rage incident started by the other guy we got down to westhaven state park to find about a million surfers where we had planned to fish. backup plan was to stumble along the jetty and fish for whatever decided shrimp was tasty.
after about 30 seconds into my first cast something took my bait. while reeling it must've headed into a rock crevice since I got hung up. I got my gear back minus whatever was pulling on it. a few minutes later I caught a kelp greenling. all my fishing partner caught were rocks.
we got bored after about an hour and went to explore the town and watch the people crabbing off the pier.
it was a nice but windy day out. as with last time down there their were huge groups of blue jelly fish washing up on shore or pushed up against the pier.
