My dad and I have fished this lake for many years and have had a lot of fun catching the big brown trout and the large mouth and smallmouth bass. including one 5 1/2 pounder! So we decided to fish it today. We got there and started throwing spinner baits around docks and I caught one 1lb. smallmouth. then my dad was using a castmaster and caught one 16inch brown trout. we fished a little while longer and I caught a 2 1/2lb. smallmouth then after playing him for a while he snaped the line at the boat. a couple hours later my dad caught another 16inch brown trout. all of the brown trout were in the shallows so they are spawning now. then we went to the shallow flat on the east side of the lake and my dad caught another brown trout. This one was a 20incherand we threw it back. Then on the way back to the boat launch I saw the smallmouth that I had caught earlier with my spinner bait hanging out of his mouth. So if any body catches a smallmouth with a spinner bait in his mouth it !
