Took a half day Friday as I was getting the itch for another shot at some chrome. Red racer & double glow green squid with insert & salted strip of herring took this one but took until 10:30 to find a bite and had 2 drive-by's before this one stuck. Saw just one other boat net a fish headed the opposite way so I turned and trolled through that spot and bingo there they were. Trolling with the tide has provided all of my bites this year, I'll not be wasting any more time trolling against the tide.

I did go out today (Sunday) with gear down before 6:30 and when I turned back with the tide at the shipwreck sure enough only a couple minutes in and it was fish on. Much nicer fish this time, crushed my offering and took line but then when I got the pole out of the holder it was slack ....so reel.reel.reel fast and then finally felt the fish, reeled in more line with some hard headshakes just to tease me finally with a nice size fish and poof...it was gone. Oh well, trolled a couple more hours and headed back to pick up some pizza before the game.
