First Chinook in Puget Sound! My buddy and I have been out pounding the water (and the water pounding back on some days) six different times. On Thursday we finally hooked one and went through our routine to get the gear out of the way just in case we could get it to the boat. He did a masterful job of netting and we were very excited to have finally got a Chinook in the net, but he said that it had an adipose, so I leaned over the sode, as the fish was still in the net in the water, and unhooked it. He wanted to get a picture of it in the net, so I took a picture and then I asked if he was sure he saw an adipose. He said yes and commented on how big it was. I noticed how big the dorsal fin was and then looked for and couldn't find or feel an adipose.

Into the boat and even more celebrating as I had just caught my first PS Chinook! That was it for the day for fish.

P.S. I am having him review pictures of fins on fish before our next trip.
