A great day out in the islands, likely going to cap off the year for the boat. We headed out around 9am, nice and lazy, and were at the spot around 10:30. The tide change strangely brought no bite, but once the flood started the spot became quite productive. Hit a smaller 6 pound silver a few minutes into the flood, released it as it was wild. Trolled another twenty minutes and had a double up with two beautiful silvers, one around 9 pounds and the other 12+ - both wild (dang!), so back they went. Then the kings. Hit 3 from about 10 pounds to 16 all in about an hour and a half. Into the cooler they went. Landed another king shortly after and released it. Finally hooked into one more real nice fish, but at the boat the liter snapped - must have been frayed from something earlier, and a good reminder to ALWAYS check gear each time you see it. Checked the crab pots on the way home and took home 4 keepers, through back about 40 females. Great day, and got my wife her first Chinook.
