Fished from 7-8pm at Golden Gardens with mainly pink buzz bombs. No luck for me. One guy just to the north of me landed a pink, got it to the beach, but still managed to loose it. A little bit later a guy who just walked up landed a pink. Some action out there, but not my evening. During that time there where maybe 8 of us out there.

One thing that has happened to me twice is that the rubber stopper on the buzz bomb gets pushed past my knot, well onto my hook and I think the buzz bomb or bead is cutting my knot and I have lost two bomb's. I go to cast and they keep on sailing away into the distance.... What can I do differently? I have 10lb line on.

I had same problem, I put on a small bead between hook and rubber thing. Make sure the hole in the bead fits over your knot.

If you are using the round rubber stopper on a single hook; thats your problem. The round rubber stopper is for treble hooks. The advice above is good, but there are stoppers available for single hooks. They are more cylindrical in shape, and are usually in the same section that you find buzz bombs in.
