Launched from the Kingston ramp around 5:30pm, fished until 8:30pm. Using a white and green flasher with pink hoochie from 60-75 feet down in 120-180 feet of water. Had my line pulled out of the clip at least 3 times. I put my line way back in the clip, so generally only big fish get it out. Case in point, I gave my pole a quick jerk to get the line released so I could bring it up and check for seaweed... fish was already on but was too small to pull it out of the clip and didn't notice it on the line. Only about a 2lb silver, but better than nothing.
Later on I had brought my line up and was about to let it out... flasher and hoochie in the water right next to the boat... just dodging the seaweed before letting it out further... BAM another fish took the bait right at the top next to my boat. Only fought it for about 15 seconds before it was gone.. .didn't get to see it. Would estimate 4-6lbs.
