7/24/2013 8:42:00 AMI was out there yesterday morning in a little white Smoker craft aluminum boat and the guys on the beach were out doing the few boats out there. I had one hook up on a silver set up but it spit the hook out on me. Guys were hooking up about halfway down the beach towards the ferry terminal. 7/24/2013 9:02:00 AMthanks for the comment fishinguy! yea it was a lot of fun. Ill be back out tonight after work. I was looking at getting a boat but trying to buy a house first. Got a small lake boat on a trailer but only with an electric motor. Tight Lines Fishinguy!

7/24/2013 9:39:00 AMWell, probably see you down there! We are also buying a home and looking at a house tonight at 4:30 then going to hit the beach. I'll be with my wife and two kids. Wife just picked up a pole and casted for the first time on Monday so she is eager to get her first Salmon!

7/25/2013 6:15:00 AMInteresting and congradulations. I keep hearing about the "Pump House" area but in all my tromping around looking for fish have never been there. Where is the Pump House and how is the parking?

The parking is horrible. unless you have a discover pass you can park on the state park side so it isnt all too bad. its by the ferry all the way to the left near the homes at the turn off hwy 20. my green horn caught a 12 lb king last night. it was another good day.

7/25/2013 12:32:00 PMYep, Outside of Coupeville near the ferry on Whidbey Island. I showed up late after looking at that house at around 5:30ish and there was nowhere to park and fisher people lined as far as I could see from the private property sign all the way down towards the ferry. I ended up turning around and going about halfway from the pumphouse to the ferry by the porta johns. No issue parking there but for whatever reason the fishing is not as good (for me anyway) as the pumphouse. It was a madhouse. I have never seen so many people there! I saw one guy leaving with a fish in his hand and saw nothing else. If you want to fish the pumphouse now, seems you better get there at daylight and hold your spot from now on!
