Fishing for chums in the salt is so different than anything else I do. We used bobbers and anchovies. They have to hang just right, at just the right depth, have to watch were they jump and kinda line the bobber so it goes in that area. Incoming or outgoing tide, in the current. So one has to watch how much of a change the tide makes.
It sure is nice to go with someone who knows. Steve, Trent, and I went out to fish the incoming tide for about 3.5 hours for chums. Yes, we became dog catchers.
We kept 3 and 2 were hens. I only caught 2 and it took most of the time out there for me to make the learning curve. I love it.
