My friend an I fished Sekiu last Friday Saturday and Sunday. We limited on kings all three days. Friday was tough fishing we had to go out in the evening to get our last two fish. Saturday we were done by 9:00 am and Sunday we were the first boat back to harbor with a nice limit of kings at 7:00 am. All fish came off a modified white lightning coho killer 6 ft behind a flasher. Lots of shakers. Only a few wild fish releases. We never even had to leave the bay. Most of the fish came from right around the geen can at slip pt. This will probably be our last trip for a while. We are planning selling the boat. If anybody is interested it is a 21 ft Boulton w 150 yamaha , 8 yamaha kicker , electiric scotties, lowrance gps/sounder, ton of deck room , a truly great fishing boat. asking 26k. Good luck

Red, did you reshape the hook or buy it that way. Does not look like a typical Octopus, Si-wash or Sickle. Looks most like a modified "G" style worm hook, used for bass. But with a totally straight shank to the eyelet.

Good sized fish. Any silvers in the mix?

The hooks are 2/0 mustad ultra point open eye si wash. Right off the shelf at Sportco. They come with a great bend on them. They are a little shorter then the other hooks. When I add the barrel swivel it puts the hook back where I want it. We hooked about a hundred fish this weekend and only had one come unbuttoned. We did get a few coho this weekend all were wild but one.

a 100 you say. Wow!! I am like, bug eyed with that information. Was there other lures that worked? Sure would like a Pm from you with more gear specifics. All I can say is, fun, fun and more forearm pumping fun. Damn, you and your pal had some..........FUN!!
Fish biting all day on this trip?

I don't know how to pm. Our success I would say is attention to detail. We are on the water before light. In the early morning fish the top 60 ft , after the sun comes up drop the riggers down to 90-120 ft or deeper. Find the bait and stay in the area, make sure your gear is clean. We used anchovy smelly jelly on the spoons. We use Pro-troll flashers, the green one with silver mylar and the green stripe, 6 ft of 20 lb florocarbon between flasher and spoon.the spoon has better action with the longer leader. Try to troll with the tide. Speed at slack tide should be between 2.5 and 3 mph. We fish here for a 3 or 4 day stretch at the end of July every year and always get our fish. Coyote army truck in 4" used to be our go to spoon but White lighting has been smoking it the last couple years. All the fish are just belching out candle fish.
