My buddy Jordan and I went out to catch a few starry flounder around 10:30 am. But the tide was just starting to come it-- about two feet too low to launch. We fished from the shore by the condemed dock; casting nightcrawlers and clam necks. In a half-hour we caught quite a few sculpins, and a TON of seaweed, but no flounder. We decided to go get a bite to eat. We came back around 12 and launched the boat. We stayed out for about two and half hours; caught four starry flounder and one rock sole. The current was ripping so the kelp was nuts! It was very, very rare not to reel a big pile of it in.
