Just a quick report - Fished out of Shilshole targeting blackmouth after dropping a couple of pots. Found bait and shakers inside the bay but no adult fish. Did managed to snag a derelict crab pot near the white bouy and get it to the surface and in the boat, karma would come back later in spades. Left Shilshole and ran to Jeff Head and did not find nearly as much bait or shakers. Slimyslab did pull in a small silver but elected to return it to the Sound. Pulled the pots after about a 5 hour soak and had my limit and then some with the first pot. Second pot had at least a double limit, where we these crabs in the summer? I fished a Brad's Super Bait Mini Cutplug which proved to be shaker and flounder approved. Most all the shakers were caught near or on the bottom in 120+ feet of water and the silver hit at 60 feet down. Tides were super light and the wind was non-existant mid morning, building up out of the east in the early afternoon. The 3 star rating was an average between the blackmouth fishing and crabbing we experienced.
