Glen asked me once how big my biggest salmon was and I told him 19.5 lbs. (Les Davis Pier 1989) he said something like “Maybe we can get you some kings this year but I don’t know about getting it bigger.” Well, we were blessed.

I finally got the call I had been waiting for. Glen said “Lets meet up at 0dark30 tomorrow.” I said “Well what time is that really?” Now I know that it just means get there in the dark.
Glen, Cami and I headed over toward Vashon from the Pt Defiance. It seemed that everybody was going there. We trolled by Point Dalco in waters in 50-120 feet deep with 40-84 feet of wire. We used Hot Spot flashers with cookies and cream spoons. All fish were caught before 9 am. The boat got three, one for each of us. Mine was 37 inches and 25 pounds, the others were 31 inches at 13 lbs, 29 inches at 11 lbs. It has been an excellent day!

I'm going to have to take you out in my boat. Maybe a little Toni luck is what the boat needs :)

Nice job!

Don't be too fooled by this report, I fished the same spot, the same day at the same time. Well same area. If you were not able to see that some fish were being caught over there which I know right where they were caught. And get over there. There was only a couple hours tops of any fish biting and if you were not in that area you went home with no fish. I would say about 80 percent of people went home with no fish. Never even getting a bite. Our boat caughsalmon and arrived in the area where the anglers were actually catching fish and stayed fishing that area for hours and witnessed no more bites. If we were at that spot a couple hours sooner I am pretty sure were would have a a good day too. So after that tide change be sharp a fish around cause if you miss the school right now you catch nothing. There are not a whole lot around yet. But yes nice fish

I always like having that pesky problem when you keep a fish bigger than the cooler you broguht. :)

Wait, so most people didn't catch fish out there but Toni scored? Guess that's what she gets for putting in some fishless trips :-) Ah would love a king this year but probably gonna have to wait for the silvers later on. If they get thick in the Puke Toni, let us know LOL! Great job setting a new personal best...

Well, the boat I was on got 3 kings. I saw several other boats get fish. One man left before we did with his limit. There were a lot of boats. The ratio of fish to boat may not have been a high percentage but I got a BIG fish!. The fish checker (Tom) took our pictures and he said that they will put them up at the Pt. Defiance boat house. Take a look...I don't know how ling it will take. We left around 9am.

It would have been a 5 star day if we had got our limits.

Thanx for the video link. I watched it a couple times. Must admit I got nervous the first time wondering whether it was gonna make it in the net even though your report verified it did! Favorite part was when you got a good grip on that thing with two hands to get it up in the air. Definitely showed how big it was. Beautiful fish.
