Started out at 4:30 am with an Army truck Coyote spoon and fished the clay banks for couple hours. Did not mark many fish. Went over to south Vashon and fished both east and west of the Ferry dock around to the points. Not many fish marked. Ran back to the Slag pile and it was deserted also. Kept troling towrds Pt Defiance where all the boats were but stayed outside the moochers. Was trolling the Army truck spoon 128' of wire out and in about 250 water depth when some idiot came racing in and out of all the boats with his 28 footer. I gave him the "what's up with that" sign and turned back to see my line came loose from the downrigger. Picked up the pole and found out why. 13 # wild king on the end, just wasn;t making much noise until I picked up the pole. Got him in the net said my hello's and threw him back. Time was 10:15, two hours before a real low tide. Checker said she had one fish checked in, when I went in at 10:30. About 50-60 boats out there.
