Finally got out on the water to try for blackmouth. I got new canvas from Arima and wanted to try it out. Launched from Everett in the dark and headed for Clinton for the early tide change. Found the current running really strong through there, though there was bait and fish there, I didn't get a bite in a couple of passes. Worked my way up Saratoga Passage from there. Not much bait or fish at Sandy Point. Ended the day fishing from East Point to Baby Island. I tried both a yellowtail Coyote and a flasher and also plugs. Nice flat water all day. Had a pod of porpoises play around me for a while up at Baby Island.
If you go up there, be careful... there is a LOT of floating debris in the water and with a little chop some of it is hard to see... also lots of seals up there, though I didn't even get a hit, so I didn't have a problem with them...
