After the luck from the night before I was pumped to hit the morning incoming/high tide. The baby woke me up at 3:30am, so once I got her fed, changed, and back to sleep I made some coffee and headed down to the beach. Most weekend mornings the security guard opens the gate at 5:30am. Got there are 5:15 and hoped he was early. No such luck, CKIM85 showed up at 5:30 and the guard got there at 5:45. Opened the gate just as The Quadfather pulled up so we caravaned to the parking lot. I was the 1st one to cross the tracks so I took a survey of the water while waiting for the others. No wind, water was calm, overcast skies. Saw one or two jumping & swirling right away - good sign. I started casting in my usual spot, made about 3 casts then heard a scream. Looked over and both CKIM85 and The Quadfather were hooked into fish. I started to walk down the beach to check them out and thought - "why aren't you casting?!" Two casts later it was fish on for me as well. I was happy to see mine was a 20" Coho. Two more WL.com-ers came down about that time (sorry, can't remember your names) but that seemed to be it for the morning. Fished until 7:30am saw one other guy down the beach C&R a little coho, but that was it.
Hit the beach again for the evening high tide - all was quiet. saw a couple jump, but no hits. There was a sea lion a few hundred yards out that was having some luck though.
