The B/F and I decided to give Dash Point a try today, so I put on my pink fishing vest, grabbed the buzzbombs and headed out around 2:00. Well Dash Point was a joke, seemed like a thousand people there and zero parking, so we thought we'd go and see if we could find the park at Browns point. Lucked out and got parking right by the light house area and found us a spot on the beach. Within 1/2 hr I had my 1st pink on, 21" and about 4lbs. Had another hit within minutes but lost it. Then I thought i hit a snag, but noooo, fish on! I could not reel this sucker in for anything, This fish was fighting and was kicking my butt. I could hear people saying, wow maybe she has a king on, I started thinking that also, I had to hold onto my pole just to try and reel in, people in boats were all watching, (probably hoping i would lose it), some guy next to us ran down with his net, gonna get this big guy in.. Well after like 10 minutes, we got it into the net.... and it was a PINK snagged in the tale!!! I was so pumped thiking I had something big, so I let the totally pooped out fish go. Good thing too, watching me was MR undercover, but reconized game warden.. sorry but the big unlit stoggie in your mouth didn't hide ya. My b/f finally caught one about an hour after that, about 23" and 6lbs.. Had a great time,we will be going there again tomorrow.
