Jeff head is holding lots of Humpies already. Fished from 1-2 midway through the outgoing tide and hit 1 adult king, 2 blackmouth, 1 resident coho, and 3 pinks all in about 1 hour! We were using green UV coho killers tied 34" back of a 11" pro troll flasher. Flasher color did not seem to matter. trolling off the cliff in 90' of water and anywhere from 40-75ft on the downrigger. All fish hit at just about any depth but I think the pinks were mostly at 75. Speed was roughly 2 mph trolling in any direction. A circle in fact, around marked bait fish. Get out there and kick the crap out of it!! Puget sound fishing at its best,,,,6 fish, 3 species if salmon in an hour on a 90 degree day! What else do you want?

"fished 1 - 2" is that 1-2pm or 1-2am?? we hit it from 5am to 11am last sat without a single salmon strike. but I used hoochies, cut plug herring, and a spoon. finally switched to flounder.

I was fishing from 1-2pm. Mid day. The coho killer spoons (green uv) have out produced any lure I have fished in the last 3 years so I always run at least 1 and usually that is the rig that hits. I usually run my flasher combo about 20-30 ft off of my release. Salmon dont need any more distance than that, and if it is longer then that it will tangle easier on turns.

i usually run a 34" leader between lure and flasher for all puget sound fishing. seems to work just fine for all species.
