went to edmonds pier yesterday! :) went from 7:50 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There was about 6 other people on the pier. went for chinook. only caught a shaker off herring. (by accident) the seagull ate the whole salmon when i wasn't looking. took my gear, and almost my whole spool of line in the reel. It was gale force winds at time and even higher wind speeds. (30+ MPH) I caught herring, seagull, chinook salmon (shaker), diving duck, 15 shiner perch, striped perch, 3 seabass (black rockfish), 1 copper rockfish, and a seastar trap! I also lost 2 buzzbombs and some gear! !!~TIGHT-LINES~!!

Hardcore, 12 hours on a pier. Better luck next time. I hope that seagull has a big time sore belly.

but some guy walked off the pier at about 330ish with a 9 pound king! i might of been using the wrong gear! i know darts, sometimes, buzzbombs, and new to the salmon fishery for edmonds is the new zinger! im getting one this weekend! i might go over 12-13 hrs. this saturday!

I thought that guy caught that baby just around 1 in the afternoon. We were sitting there joking about the no fish existed and it would be easier to snag the tires than a fish and all the sudden bang.

Yes you know the Zingers work... they for sure ain't new to the pier. If you can find the older glow in the dark type you might do better with them.

Nothing like catchin a Seagull or the loons or a boat or somebody else... or just on accident a um salmon.

the seabass were small but puts up a really hard fight on super light tackle! about 1 to 3 pounds!

Like he said the Black Rock Fish are only about a pound or two at best. Nice fight on light gear - which is the other reason I said to Fishingboy (assuming you are who I think you are) the light rod and a big king is gonna be fun but scary.
