Saturday=slow. 5:45am lines in (trolling) fished until 11am, nothing but shakers. Trolling the usual gear, Coho Killers, Coyotes, Ace Hi Fly's, all with some scent and behind a flasher. Marked a lot of fish and bait, but no takers.

Sunday was better for sure.... Catching was good, keeping wasn't. Got a late start (7:30am) fished until 11:30am, hooked a heck of a fighter within 5 minutes of lines in water, released it, a good 7-8lb wild fish. This thing hit like a freight train, immediately pulling out line, followed by a run right at the boat. I was thinking it could have been a king or a big coho, when it got near the boat it was just a real healthy 7-8lb wild fish, so it seems like some ocean coho are filtering in.

Then found an 4-5lb eager blackmouth around 9am with some really cool bronze colors, released, next up a smaller (4lb hatchery silver) which I released since it was an easy flip of the hook, and finally around 11:15am a 5-6lb hatchery fish which put up no fight, but made a decent dinner on the bbq. Lots of bait, lots of fish on the electronics, just a bit slower fishing and smaller fish then we'd all love. Today a Coyote behind a 11'' red flasher was the hot lure, trolled in an area I often overlook, trolling down near 75' in 90 feet of water.

I hope some more fish pull into the Sound soon, looking forward to some big Coho in the next few weeks.
