On a boat cruising trip with others, brought my big sea troller pole as bonus entertainment. No others in my party we fishing. While anchored in a bay, I still fished a whole herring off the bottom a little, with a banana weight. Never had fished there before, and really don't do this at all, so did not expect much. I just glanced at the pole from time to time, drinking coffee and reading books. So I was was quite happy to see the tip of the pole start to bounce. I ran out and grabbed it and felt that familiar tug of a decent-sized fish that we all love. I drug it to the back of the boat, where I got a look at the 2 foot dogfish shark. Much picture taking ensued since we all were surprised that I caught something. I released the unlucky fish, re-baited, and went for the repeat. I was back reading, coffeeing, and was about to show somebody a picture of that shark off of the camera, when out of the corner of my eye, I notice the pole tip bouncing again. Back out I go to find I had hooked another 2 foot doggy in the corner of the mouth. Took it to the back of the boat for the release. These fish are sure strong for the size. Pretty entertaining for not really much effort at it, hence the three stars. Bonus!
