Snuck out and hit Carkeek again this morning. Fished from 6-9am. High tide was at 7:30. Cloudy, low 50s, no rain, no wind, very calm. Saw a few jumping, but not many. I was casting a 3" silver crocodile. Had several follows, one hit and one hookup, a 12" cutt. Feisty little bugger, saw it hit my lure about 10' from me, so I paused, then started to do the figure 8 thing with my pole and he hit again and hooked it! Switched to a red/gold Kastmaster for the last hour with no action. There were 3 others out there with me - 2 flys and 1 spinning reel. From what I saw the spinning reel hooked a couple little sculpin and the flys didn't have any luck. Nice morning and back home before anyone knew I was gone!
