Finally got my boat out on the sound. Just dropped the boat in at Des Moines. We were on the water at about 7am. Had to take one of my buddies out before he moved to New Mexico for college. It was his first time fishing from a boat and his second time fishing. We did a lot better than I thought we were going to do. Started off catching a couple shakers, then switched over to shark fishing so my buddy could get some action. He caught some fish, so we started trolling. An hour or so later he hooked into a nice little 16" silver, so we kept it and he was pumped. A couple hours later my other buddy hooked into a nice 7lb pink, right before redondo. We kept trolling south and got about 3/4 of the way to Dash point, cut the trolling motor to zip over there for some pinks. When reeling in, my buddy who caught the pink got another fish on, after a 10 minute battle we had the fish in the boat, nice 24lb hatchery king. We made a lot of trips back and forth to the marina to pick up/drop off different people to take out fishing. The day really doesn't deserve a "5" rating but, my buddy caught his first shark, flounder and got a keeper salmon. My other buddy caught his biggest fish of his life (7lb) then smashed that (24lb). Everybody else who went out caught fish, beautiful weather and a safe trip, that's a 5 in my book . I was the captain of the boat, but in all reality I was the deck hand LOL. I baited, netted, re tied, untangled, and there was 4 people in the boat all day, can only fish 3 in my boat, so I steered instead of fished. Only got to fish 1/2 the day and got skunked, not even a shark LOL. But I had a GREAT time and still look at it as the most productive fishing day of the year
