Went fishing up north of Hoodsport, in the "Open" fishing zone for some Chums. My little Sockeye Salmon boat, made for Lake Washington, did pretty well in the Canal, (My little 10 H.P. Mercury). I hit a nice Chum out of 60' of water, I was using a little wobbler spoon, with some herring. Fishing for Chum is like fishing for Sockeye, except no Downrigger, or weight. I let the Chum go because it was a Hen, and I felt bad, so I only keep the Males. Could any tell me a more productive way to fish for Chums in Hood Canal? And also when to go to avoid the gill nets, seines, and Tribal netters. My email is.............roosterkd@yahoo.com
