I took my bro out fishing on Friday morning. This was my first time fishing the Nisqually area. I hit up a Capt. DR for some advice on where to fish in the area. The Capt. mentioned Lyle Pt. So, that is where we started to fish. About ten minutes in to the trip I noticed I forgot to bring a net. I told my brother we will surely catch a fish now because we don't have a net on board. About fifteen minutes later my rod is buried in the water. FISH ON. My rod was buried so hard I had a hard time getting the rod out of the rod holder. After playing the fish for several minutes trying to tire her out knowing I don't have a net. I bring the fish beside the boat and tap her a couple of times with my hand to make sure she is good and tired. Then I slip my hand under her gill plate and bring her aboard. A nice 16 pound king. I caught her with a silver Coho Killer behind a white/glow Hot Spot down 80 feet.
