Two buddies and me were at sportsmans warehouse and a guy told us about a great spot for flounder. It was on the southside of the hood canal bridge by the buoy marker. We got there and was using herring, within 5 minutes we were pulling in rockfish left and right. I caught 2 shark. We only got 3 flounder about the size about my palm. We didn't keep anything. Didn't know if rockfish was good to eat. But as I was looking through the fishing rules I realized we were in a closed season zone. So we went to the northside of the bridge and bam, me and my buddy both hooked 2 huge things. Both took time about 20min trying to reel them in, but they just bit thru our line. Would have liked to known what they were. Going to get up early tomorrow and go back then try somewhere in bremerton.
If anybody can help us, we are all new to saltwater fishing and are a little lost on where to go, what to fish for, what to use, and what good is too eat. Please email me at cgibson@gibsonictronics.com
Thanks
Chris
