A new place to fish! Tom and I did some exploring to find a new chum source. Little did we know we would discovery a late run coho river. Arrived at 7:30am and there were fish jumping everywhere. I assumed they were chum, but to our surprised the first fish we hooked and landed was a chrome bright 6 pound coho. Yee-ha! Unfortunately, the rest of the morning was spent dealing with lock-jaw salmon. One other boat in the bay caught three coho. We also saw chums jumping but did not catch any.

I will not give directions to this bay, but will give a hint. It's in Area 12. If you do a little work you will find it and earn the right to fish it. It will never be a Hoodsport fishery, but for those that want some solitude you will be pleasantly surprised.
