About 0600, Kirk, Young Soo and I, began fishing. Surprisingly we did not get any hits until after
Sunrise, 0651. We were trying a lot of glow in the dark stuff before sunrise including all glow flashers
this effort proved futile. We switched to Hot Spot green with silver and glow flashers and green
and glow hoochies with herring strips and covered Smelly Jelly Herring juice. We also had a large Abe and Al with prism tape
with Grand Slam Green Herring lures covered in Smelly Jelly herring juice. The Abe And Al setup carried the
the day with four of the six fish we kept. We also caught one Pink about six pounds which we released.
We want to build up the even year Pink run. The Cohos ran from 9 to 11 Lbs. We caught fish at
30, 35, and 51 feet. We tried as deep as 70'.
