Chinook are running very good along the shore just North of Kayak Point pier where the buoys are. There's lots of bottom structure and rocks there. There's about 5 houses just past the North end of the park, and at about 4:00PM they started hitting really fast and hard. Most fish were hooked in the back or belly. One broke me off with 30 pound line right under the boat. Too bad they all had to go back into the water. I lost 2 fish and landed 2, released all. The Coho action has slowed some but they are running pretty good still. All the fish are hitting on white Buzz Bombs with a red or blue stripe. The rain Sunday will most likely drive them further North toward Warm Beach and starting up the Stilliguamish.
