Fished Kayak Point for silvers Sunday Oct 5. Only had about three hours to fish in the afternoon, at the high tide change. Perfectly calm day for our run from Cavalero launch over on Camano. No boats on the water so I was thinking we were probably too early in the season for Kayak. No strikes until around 3:30 PM then I got a solid hit on a green squid and flasher setup, with herring strip thrown in for good measure. It was a solid hook up on what turned out to be an 8 pound silver that ended up in the box. That was it for the day. Nice run back in very calm water and salmon on the grill that night.
