Got out with Tom for a great day in the San Juan. The water was flat all day long everywhere we went. Sun was out too!
There wasn't much tide movement in the morning, which I think led to the low success we had and saw other have. We tried a pass or two at Thatcher and saw no bait at all. We then went to Spring Pass with all the other guys who listened to Tony Floor and flogged the bottom there on up to the scout camp with no luck.
About 11:00-ish we went to Salmon Bank and I got a couple of shakers, one right at 21.5" on a mini hot spot and a silver/green Coyote. Tom alternated between a squid and strip and an army truck coho killer, both behind full size hot spots.
We tried Middle Bank for a bit, then stopped at Kellett's Ledge on the way in. I got three more shakers around 18" on the same rig. A good day, just no big ones.
