In my last report I said I was going to fish my new collection of OldGoat Lures. We launched at Seaton Grove Launch about 8;30 and headed for number 1 net pen, the current was running a little different today than it had been the past week or so, when we got to the net pen I started out with an OldGoat in orange and green and Evie started out with a perch pattern. Twenty minutes later we had our two trout each. The next time I do this test I will switch over to a single hook rather than a treble hook so I can pinch the barb and be able to release trout. We headed for a walleye hole that had been treating us very good but there were four boats fishing that hole, it was almost to crowded a couple days ago and we were the only boat there. We search up and down river for some place we could fish with out a crowd but every time we would get set up in a nice backwater eddie somebody would pull in on top of us. We finally got into a spot, got our OldGoat lures out and Evie had a hook up and while netting her walleye I had a good take down. Now here comes two boats and three of those little personal pontoon boats, that was enough for one day, we headed home. One thing I have to say, if you haven't fished these OldGoat lures I think your missing out on a lot of fun. Next weekend I will be fishing them for Kokanee in Lake Chelan at the NWFR get together.

What size OG were you using? Was just on the OG store site and the only perch pattern were big...

Hello: Just saw your note about only finding a big perch pattern on the site. (I just checked, and, when I view our store page in Google chrome, I see all three sizes: 2.8", 3.3", and 3.9". Just to confirm--are you seeing these sizes but wanting smaller?) Thanks!

Big fish bite big lures. The 2.8" OGs aren't big IMO, certainly not for 'eyes or big trout. Thanks for your recent reports Bob, much appreciated! :-)

Bob: Absolutely appreciate your taking the time to run the tests with the OG1.

Thank you!
