Decided to give Flowing a try. Started fishing at 10:30am and finished at 2:30pm. God blessed with 25 fish and lost probably another 10. All fish appeared to be stockers and no holdovers caught today. All fish released to fight again. Used Elgin Fishing God's Tooth spoons with the most effective patterns being perch, 50/50 blue, brown trout, frog, green and caught 1 on pink. Mostly set at fast action but did have success on the slow action setting on the perch. The video provides most of the action for the day. Wishing all tight lines!

foryou, did you buy the motor handle extension or build it? If home built, kudo's it looks to work great.

Hi snohawk,
Thanks for your previous comment, it was a stellar day! I purchased the extension back in the days of Joe's sporting goods. I think you should still able to get one if you search online. I would think you could make one using pvc tubing?
Hope this helps!

Looks like a fun day! I've got two little cousins I need to get hooked into some fish. From your observation we're thebtroit mostly near the state launch orntebcounty park? We are limited to the bank so the dock at the county park would be best, but a waste of time if all the planter trout are at the complete opposite end of the lake.

Hi Snoop,
The fish appeared to be on the east side of the lake so opposite the park. Hope you can find some fish!

Fast Action is skinny to big?

Hi cobrar543,
Nice to hear from you. Fast action is where the hook is placed on the wide end of the spoon and narrow end is attached to the leader.
Recommend highly using 5/8" duo lock for ease in changing out the spoons as well as allows the split ring some freedom to move. Can also make a small loop knot and thread through the split ring for similar effect.

Is not there a daily catch limit regardless either retain or release for that lake or is it exempt not sure ? is there an answer for that if so where do check to be sure . the report was very good & the info on the spoons even better

Greenboater,
I encourage you to read the state regs before fishing any body of water you are not familiar with. That said, this lake has no special rules so falls under general regs for lakes. Limit is only 5 trout caught when using bait. Released fish count towards the 5 fish limit. When not using bait, limit is 5 fish kept. Since I release all the fish, there is no limit on catching and releasing.

I do not doubt what say foryou sent email to WA DEPT of Fish& Wildlife just to double check waiting on the reply to be certain I don't think I would fish that lake as I fish for larger size game fish mostly in King county I don't think there is a need to make that kind of reply but whatever
