Made my first trip to Chelan of the year. Beautiful day great weather! The fish were a little on the picky side. Went 2 for 3 on a brads Kokanee bait. Custom silver in pink and orange. Lots of fish in front of wapato Point at 100' to 40' with 50' dropback. I stuffed the brads with tuna and had tuna soaked corn on each hook. Funny thing is when I got home I uploaded the underwater footage from my waterwolf and all I can say is..... Wow! I had fish constantly attacking my gear, just few hook-ups. I guess it is time to play with bigger hooks.

Here is some of the underwater scene

For 20 bucks you can't go wrong. Just don't use braid or it will cut right through the guides.

Thanks for the report and footage Lingking. Wow the UV is putting off some serious glow in the pictures. What size hooks are you using? We have upped to #1 & #2's on Roosevelt. Gami octopus and Owner Super Needle Point 5115-093 have worked well. Alan

Love the video. Have you tried tweeking your dodger\lengthenging your leader a bit to get less movement on your bait at the speed your trolling? That's a lot of movement you have on your gear.

Also, have you actually seen cuts in your guides on the Eagle Claw rod? I've been using braid my Eagle Claw rod and the hardened steel inserts show no signs of wear. I think there is a general misconception regarding braid and what effects it has on guides. Most braids are actually less abusive on guides than mono, they are super slick, add a little water and friction through the guides is just about none existant.

Thanks for the report, I'm headed to Chelan this weekend for the first time. No downriggers, so we will be trying leadcore setups. We will enjoy the sun at least if we can't get the fishing dialed in
