Fished Hood Park Ponds but no fish today! (Tue 4/4/17)
Took my 8yo son out around 7am while the wife was out of town with the other 3 kids. We did some powerbait eggs and powerbait dough, and I ran around with a rapala floating minnow and small pan-fish/trout crank bait, but we didn't get any hook ups. I did Dalton Lake today (Thu 4/6/17) and the fish were noticeably more active (surfacing) at Dalton and the overall air felt cooler at Dalton.
Maybe the fish were in a sour mood? The water from the pond is pretty high and starts to spill over the end of the middle walkway, between the two sides of the main pond area.
Didn't see anyone else catch and 1 guy said he caught two 4" naturals he had to release, not sure what bait he used.
All in all it was a cool morning (maybe just more sun?) and it was nice to get outside =)
