Got up around 5am and hit the road by 6. Got to Dalton around 7:00-7:15 ish and was in the water by 7:30. Showed my buddy the layout of the lake since he's only bank fished by the parking lot. I asked him when we were setting up lines where the worms were and he forgot them in the car! Banked the boat, climbed up the hill and got the worms only to find out they were well past due and falling apart on touch =(

Fished all around the lake with water temps ranging from 53-55F. Saw lots of groups moving around on the fish finder but couldn't steal a bite in the first 2 hours.

When I was finally ready to give up around 9:30am (with recent memory of getting skunked at Hood Park on Tuesday, quitting around 9am), my buddy suggested 1 last spot near a collection of surfacing fish and I went to the bottom with fluorescent orange power bait, which I've never caught a fish on. Immediately I got a bite, but no hook up. I pitched out another and we had a fish on. I kept this up and by my 2nd fish I had both poles running powerbait off the bottom. Caught 4 on Fl. OJ and 1 on Chart.

Buddy took a bit longer, but also ended up limiting out. While he was getting his last 3 I set up his lines and threw a jig out for bass a couple times.

All in all we had fairly consistent action 9:30-11:30 with 53F water temps in our spot and the sun pretty high in the sky after an overcast and slight drizzle in the morning.

All baits we tried- trout magnet, maribou jig, floating rapala minnow, small pan-fish/trout crankbait (from lucky tacklebox), powerbait eggs (glitter OJ & pink), atlas marshmallow, in-line spinners, and then the power bait dough and a couple nuggets that didn't hook up.

Got 2 pictures from the first two caught, after that we were pretty busy =)
