Despite water temps hanging in the low-mid 40s and my new fish finder sitting in a Kent FedEx facility, I woke my girlfriend up and packed the car to go spend our day off on the water. We hit the launch at a very leisurely 9:30 a.m. and began trolling north from the WDFW ramp. About 11 am we had some action and missed 3 bites and put 1 in the box. We followed it up with a whole lotta nothing, as we didn't have another bite the rest of the day and pulled out of the lake around 2:30p.m. This lake needs to warm up some, but i got blood on my new boat, got the 2017 skunk off my back, and even got a tiny bit sunburned, so its pretty hard to complain. Looking forward to a productive summer out here!
Bites came on Pink Wedding Ring and Pink Hoochie with corn marinated in minced garlic, trolled with flashers and 1-1.5 oz of lead.
