Yesterday It was rainy off and on dark overcast. I thought yeah nobody will be down at the fill in this rain so I went down hoping not to see a bunch of people on the bank. Went down their first around 6pm and to many people for me. So I came back at 9pm, there was a lite rain. I didn't have my normal tackel box so I used a lure I use for Salmon, I will include a photo. Third cast standing on the north side cashing at the highway 17 bridge WHAM! I hooked a monster. At first I thought I was snagged on a rock, pole bent over then JERK JERK it was on like Donkey Kong.
Took maybe 5 minutes and I landed a 30.5 incher that came in at 7.5 pounds. The water is starting to move through slowly and the Walleye are stacking up. I was jigging slowly and the fish hit the jig on the fall. I saw couple other fish caught. Check out the photos
