I'm relatively new to fishing and I am quite bad at it. Of course I fished for a few years as a child but there was a span of 10 years (namely my teens) in which I had less than 5 fishing experiences. On that note, my last catch was 2 or 3 bass in the fall of 2015. Today that changed.
I went fishing at the Alder St. Fill with my girlfriend and a new rod/reel today this morning, neither of us got any bites. We took a break for lunch and then returned for a couple of hours. While reeling the lure in, I got caught under a rock. After freeing the lure, I finished reeling it in and right before I brought it out of the water I thought, "this isn't behaving normal." I looked down and I saw the cutest little walleye I had ever seen, and it was on my hook! The walleye was about the size of my middle finger (despite my beefy hands that's still quite small) and the same size as my lure. There were no more bites the rest of the day. 10/10 would catch smallest walleye ever again.
