Went out about 12:30 this was the first time I've been there,, didn't relieze how far ya to walk to find water depth deeper than 6 feet. Lol to my surprise I had to walk a ways out..needless to say ,, I found the farther you walk down the lake the deeper it got. After fishing different depths and different rig ups ,,I starred getting bites then, started catching fish,, I found them bitting in depths between 12 and 20 feet, the presentation I ended up doing the best with,was a sweetest pimple #2 orange,,and #2 yellow ,,around one to two feet off bottom,tipped with either a meal warm and or worm..power bait,….I ended up catching 4 between 10 and14 inch.. And one big hog 24 inch, 5 3\4 pound,,,,I lost 2 other big ones do to getting to excited trying to bring em in two fast...be patient with the big ones they have a lot of play in them,,, and missed several other bites,,so between 12:30 and 4:30..I did pretty good,,,defiantly going back soon...but next time im gonna do the long walk to the other end of the lake..was told it was better fishing at that end......fish on...

Good job, DustyBre15 on that big fish. Sounds like a lot of fun. My buddy and I try to go at least every two weeks.

Thanks bornagainbozo..I've got ice fishing fever...its been so long since I've done it,,,I'm hooked...this year , I've been blessed, been going as often as I can,,trying different lakes,,, next weekend I'm going to grand coulee dam, out on banks lake ,,i,'he been told it's been frozen solids.gonna go try out in front of the canal ,, it's pretty deep their ,between 40 and 70 feet,,,depending on were your at,,but between 40 and 60 feet you'll find the white fish. There spawning out in that spot,,,,always fun hooking on to one of those with a little 24 in. Ice fishing pole and 4 pound test at those deepth's,,,,fish on !!!

I was hoping that, that ended of the lake would freeze over. I should have kept up on checking in out there. If you do go, let me know how it goes. Really want some whitefish in the freezer

I will for sure buddy, I'm just hoping with all this rain and warm weather ,,that the ice is safe,,I'm sure it will be. I just don't know tell I'm there I guess... I'll keep you posted for sure,,hope in to have a great time, bringing my wife she's never iced fished so she'll be in for a treat, especially wen I take her out at night,, and start hooking em....fish on !!!!!
