We got on the ice about 9:00 am today. The ice is still really solid about 10-12 inches thick with 4 inches of snow on top and a little slush in between. The fishing was great, we each caught around 30 perch and threw the smallest ones back. We also caught and released 10-12 sunfish and a big small mouth. The weather was awesome with lots of sun, and very little wind. We’re going back tomorrow.

Great report! Perhaps I will run into you today also. At a balmy 19 I may let it warm up a shade.

It was too nice of a day to chip ice out of the driveway. After you guys left there was a float plane that landed on the Ice. The little Blonde would have gotten a kick out of it. I didn't slay them but brought back enough to stink up a skillet this evening. My Cat gave me 2 paws up on the fresh fish also.

Ha ha, I hope you shared with your cat. There was a blue and white float plane out there yesterday as well as a red ultralight on and over the lake.

She always get's Fresh fish when I get home!! She will turn her nose up on fish it it's not fresh or if she doesn't like it. Makes a great judge on what I eat. Another one of the girls I spoil. Grandma, Chyna and Shorty!!
This was a Red & White single engine with skies.

A smallmouth from Eloika? Interesting. I've heard there are some over in Fan lake so this would add some credence to that.
