We started at the ramp and worked our way around the South end of the lake, then North along the East shore. The wind was fairly brisk from the East. It started out very slow--only one dink for the first hour or two. First fish was caught on a new toy: River 2 Sea Double Plopper. Very interesting lure--expensive, but its a good option for fishing on top of the pads, with more action than frogs and unlike the standard buzz bait, it will float if you stop reeling. I caught a couple more on it during the day. A couple on Senkos, but the most consistent lure was a swim jig: either with or without a trailer. No size to the fish...the biggest was about 1.5 pounds, but fun to catch.

I was out there twice last week after work got 5 and 6 fish both days nothing huge 11" was a monster but had one big roll on my minnow on East side north of the public dock. He had to be 4lbs! LOL But it was slow didn't get any bites on buzzbait, chatter bait, or swim jig all were on top water minnow in middle and back of pads moved pretty slowly...only had one or two hit it right after it hit the water.
