I started fishing with both rods in the water at 7:10am. It was cloudy and the air temp was about 60, water was 67. Around 9am it started to get foggy and rain. I tried to find the map of Clear Lake on my Lowrance but it only had Summit. I was worried about finding the launch if the fog got bad. Hunter757 came aboard around 10am to listen to my big motor and he also fixed the fish finder. I have Clear Lake. He put a rod in the water but had the same results that I did.
I didn’t put any fish in the boat and only saw the rings in the water as one got off at the surface, early in the morning. Later finding out it was a male kokanee.
But by watching the videos I am learning more about fish behavior. I don’t know why but I saw some that would chase after the lure, dodger or ripple blade. Then just meander away. Others just hung out as the lures went by.
Disregard the information if you have been told that your lure has to be above the fish because they don’t look down. A lot of fish come from above, as you can see in my videos.
Later I tried for trout by putting a worm on the hook but only 2 nipped at it. We finished about noon.
We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.
