We were on the water with lines out by 9:00am. The weather was good, light breeze, cloudy in the AM, then cleared off by noon or so with lots of sun. Trolled for about an hour before landing our first fish, after that we were boating fish regularly the rest of the day. Using leaded line, 5 colors out, small Jack Lloyd lake trolls, wedding ring with red & green beads and maggots for bait. At the end of the day we had 20 kokanee, 10" to 14" in the cooler. I pinch the barbs on all my hooks and release fish under 10". By pinching the barbs, some fish get off the hook however released fish have a much better survival rate. We were fishing out of Bayview, to the south, by the "slide". It was a great day on the water with my oldest son. I'll be firing up the smoker tomorrow.
