Well I thought I would give the Potholes a try and found the fishing is still just as bad as it was a few weeks ago. I focused on the Medicare Beach area. I managed to catch a very small crappie, bass, and walleye. All fish were released. Didn’t see anybody else catch anything, but did talk to a fisherman at the boat launch that caught 3 perch.

I did see some fish in the 20’ FOW level and thought they may be trout so I set up one of the rods with trout gear but only caught the crappie using that set up, maybe the fish I was seeing on the electronics were carp.

Trolled in 15-35’ FOW going over the humps in “S” patterns pulling worn harnesses in various colors. I tried jigging over a couple holes I saw with fish in them in 35’ FOW but nothing.

Since I couldn’t catch fish, I went home at 11:00 to catch a buzz and watch the Seahawks kick some butt.

Wicked walleye

Thanks for the report, hope it picks up but sounds discouraging. Unfortunately my work has taken me away from Moses Lake (Pot Holes) this year and we only made it back for Labor Day. We fished the Pot Holes for 4 days. It was slow, we did manage 10 walleye over the 4 days, all on bottom bouncers and smile blades at 1.1 mph. The good news was they were all big males 19" to 22". We also caught a slug of bluegill, the bad news as always was the wind and bullheads. We will be back next weekend for a couple days. Sounds challenging but like always a bad day of fishing beats the heck out of a good day at work.
