Trolled lake wilderness this morning with my dad. Weren't really looking for any specific species, but I knew this lake had been stocked with trout and kokanee fry for many years Trolled through some pretty intense weeds with a downrigger, dodger and pink/ orange spinner. My dad tried various lures with no luck. Stopped and jigged with a sonic baitfish if we ran into a school, got bites jigging, but no hook ups. Picked up what I believe to be a hybrid cutthroat rainbow. Had small egg sacks and a few external parasites, but healthy looking otherwise. Teeth way down the tongue, but no red slash under the jaw, hardly any spots either. This one was picked up near the bottom in 28 feet of water trolling with downrigger. Very acrobatic fight.

Looks like a cutthroat not a rainbow. Not all cutthroat have red slash under jawline but who knows without DNA testing it migh or might not be a hybrid
