Another great day on Banks Lake. Walleye fishing has been of the chart for us here for the past couple months and just seems to be getting better. We got on the water at 9:30 and had 16 walleye in the boat at 2:30. My wife had here limit of eight before I caught my first wally. She lost one at the boat that was well over 24 inches. These fish are nice and fat and put up a great fight. It is very seldom that we don't limit on walleye and the perch are starting to bite again. Most of the time we fish 30 to 35 feet of water but if we don't get any hits in the first hour we start fishing more shallow, recently we were all the way into 15 feet an it was non stop action, but just for that one day. The next day we tried the same area with a single bite so we moved out to deeper water and found fish. I believe a lot of our success lately has been the Louisiana Swamp Nightcrawlers we have been using. They are the most active worm I have ever seen. I put a post in the Forum section about a week ago regarding these worms. Good luck and stay safe.

Close to mid lake, just north of the Million Dollar Mile(rock cut for the hiway) there is a small rock out cropping just fish north and north west from that rock.

Nice! Also where do you launch from to get to that area? I may have to run over there in the next couple of weeks!
