Visiting the Folks for a few days and decided to take my kids to a local pond I hadn't fished since high school (21 years ago). For all that time the pond remained relatively the same. There is now a handicap dock with a covered area just a few feet behind it that was added since my childhood. This was really convenient since the kids were with me and it rained for a little bit. Besides that ODFW added some structure for the fish and it was a little weedier than it was all those years ago. Went old school with worms 24-36 inches under a bobber. Casted about 20 feet straight out from the dock is where most the action was. Caught several large bluegill and red eared sunfish as well as lost many more and was surprised to catch a 10 inch largemouth bass. Only stayed a couple of hours then headed back to my folks place. All in all a great experience I was happy to have the opportunity to share with my kids.
