In May, I challenged myself to fish at a new lake every week. There are lots of lakes to explore! My go-to trout setup is trolling with Jack Loyd pop gear, 12-18” leader to a yellow-green woolly bugger or wedding ring with smile blade. I add a drop or barrel sinker of 3/8-1 oz to the front end. Power bait, trout attractant on hook and up the leader line. Specifics:
July 4, Shoecraft, 11am-1pm, clouds+ light rain, woolly bugger ruled! 5* (11-13” rainbows)
June 27, Cavanaugh, 10-11am, sunny, mountain view, ring+smile, 3* (13” wild rainbow)
June 19, Meridian, 12-2pm, sunny, ski boats, ring+smile, 1* (11” rainbow)
June 12, Flowing, 11am-1pm, sunny, windy, 2* (11-12” rainbows)
June 5, Mayfield, 9-11am, sunny, 1* (no bites)
June 4, Cowlitz River, 8-9:30pm, sunny, bank fishing, float shrimp and eggs, 1* (no bites)

May 22, Bosworth, 8:30-9:30pm, sunny, windy, 5* (10-12” rainbows)
